What this is

A one‑page fill‑in‑the‑blank table that shows the contract’s total cost or price broken down by CLINs, sub‑CLINs, and any fee or profit. It demonstrates compliance with FAR Subpart 15.4 (Cost) and the competitive acquisition instructions in FAR 52.215‑1.

When you need it

Mandatory for sealed bidding, negotiated procurements, simplified acquisitions, and commercial contracts where the solicitation requires a cost/price breakdown (e.g., when a CLIN has a “firm‑fixed‑price” or “cost‑plus‑fee” structure). Include it in the Technical Volume before the Cost Volume, typically at the beginning of the proposal.

How to fill it in

1. Identify every CLIN and sub‑CLIN listed in the solicitation’s Schedule II (or the PWS).
2. For each CLIN, pull the proposed cost or price from your pricing spreadsheet.
3. If using a cost‑plus arrangement, add the applicable fee or profit margin as instructed by FAR 15.4 — the term “cost plus any fee or profit” appears in Subpart 15.4【/opt/data/us-federal-templates/ref/cache/S9.txt:989】.
4. Verify that certified cost or pricing data is included when required under FAR 15.403‑4 (see S9 line 1066)【/opt/data/us-federal-templates/ref/cache/S9.txt:1066】.
5. Total the column to show the overall contract price; ensure the sum matches the amount stated in the solicitation’s budget section.
6. Place the completed table inside a fenced code block with placeholders for values you will replace later:
