What this is
A short description of how your solution brings new, measurable benefits compared with existing market offerings. It explains the innovative aspects and the concrete additional value for the contracting authority.
When you need it
- If the tender invites an innovation partnership (Article 31), this template is required.
- If the award criteria require an innovation or added‑value statement (Article 67), include it at that stage.
- Usually optional at the selection stage unless explicitly mandated.
How to fill it in
- Identify the innovative feature of your solution – technology, process, service model, or combination thereof.
- Quantify the additional value (e.g., % cost saving, time reduction, environmental impact) using realistic metrics and a target date.
- Map each benefit to a specific award‑criterion reference from the tender pack (e.g., "Innovation – 10 pts"), showing how it satisfies that criterion.
- Provide evidence: pilot results, case studies, certifications, or prototypes.
- Ensure consistency with the ESPD – include all required fields about innovation and added value.
